Why Crystal Lake homeowners call us
You see the evidence
Chimney work happens where you cannot check it — above the roof, inside the flue. So we photograph what we find and show you before recommending anything. If a liner is cracked, you look at the crack.
Prices are public
Every service price is on the website before you call. Unusual in this trade, and deliberate — the number cannot quietly change once a technician is in your living room.
We say when work is not needed
If a repoint will do, we will not sell you a rebuild, and if a reseal will do, we will not sell you a reline. Turning down work we could have sold is what keeps customers.
Local and available
Based in Crystal Lake, covering McHenry County, open 7am to 7pm every day including weekends — useful when everyone remembers the fireplace at once in October.
We work to NFPA 211
Every inspection and recommendation follows NFPA 211, the national fire-safety standard for chimneys and fireplaces. We point to the code rather than asking you to take our word.
29 years, insured and bonded
Johnathan Mason has spent 29 years on McHenry County chimneys, and the work is done by our own insured and bonded crew — never a subcontractor routed in from out of town.
Areas we serve
Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, Cary, Fox River Grove, McHenry, Woodstock, Huntley, Lakewood, Island Lake, Prairie Grove, Oakwood Hills and the surrounding McHenry County towns — roughly a ten-mile radius of our Crystal Lake base.
