Before you call
It helps to know roughly what you have — a wood-burning fireplace, an insert, a stove, or a gas appliance — and when it was last serviced. If you do not know, that is fine and common; we will establish it when we get there.
If you suspect a chimney fire has occurred, call 911 first, stop using the fireplace, and then call us. A chimney that has had a fire needs a Level 2 inspection before it is safe to use again.
